Therapy games and worksheets to help you and those you serve

Busy therapists and mental health professionals often struggle to find engaging and effective resources for their clients. The Counseling Palette offers evidence-based therapy games and activities to help you save time, foster connection, and encourage growth.
Download new therapy games and activities for kids, adults, and teens
That's the idea behind Teletherapy Studio, created by The Counseling Palette. It takes classic activities like expressive therapies, analytical sand tray, and counseling games and makes them possible in the virtual space in a genuinely meaningful way. All the while, the engagement stays between the therapist and client(s), allowing for quality, evidence-based therapeutic work, as it should be.
Have you ever been excited to work with your client or group and found that they didn't make the connections you were hoping for? Maybe your group of teens gave you blank stares when you talked about coping skills, or your 10-year-old client was endlessly distracted while you were processing emotions. And let's face it, we adults aren't really that different!
Trust me, it isn't you. Therapeutic concepts aren't always as familiar to new clients as we think. And for those who are old hats to therapy and groups, the same-old gets really old after a while.
So what if you had a toolbox at your fingertips, full of familiar games, quiz shows, and educational activities that are both fun and evidence-based? That's actually what I've been doing for the last few years--creating the toolbox we all need to help clients stay on track, engage, and grow.
You'll find all of these activities like FEELOPOLY, coping skills Bingo, Humans Against Stress, Therapy Jeopardy games and much, much more in our Giant Therapy Bundles. Our original bundle is much-loved by more than a thousand mental health professionals. And I'm beyond excited to introduce our brand new Volume 2, just in time for your next session!

"Therapeutic concepts aren't always as familiar to new clients as we think. And for those who are old hats to therapy and groups, the same-old gets really old after a while. "
Download, Print or Project, and Play!
The Counseling Palette activities are created to be intuitive and easy to use. Most of our activities are in PDF format so you can print or project them on-screen. Our Jeopardy-style games (always popular) also come in PowerPoint form so they can include a few bells and whistles to keep your groups and client entertained. Either way, it just takes a few steps to get to playing!
Familiar Games with Discussion Prompts
"So what if you had a toolbox at your fingertips, full of familiar games, quiz shows, and educational activities that are both fun and evidence-based?" Our popular activities are inspired by familiar platforms like Jeopardy, Monopoly, Jenga, and Bingo. Your clients will feel right at home while they play therapy games during sessions, and you'll feel good as they answer prompts and discuss important concepts along the way.
Jeopardy-style PowerPoint games
Our Jeopardy-style games are among the most popular therapy activities we offer, and I hear lots of great feedback that clients and groups enjoy them. In our original bundle we have 3 Jeopardy games including our CBT coping skills game, general coping skills for adults/teens game, and a general DBT game that covers essential skills. In our newest giant bundle we have 4 DBT Jeopardy games that each focus on a specific issue like mindfulness or distress tolerance. The DBT games are at a basic level, so even if you or your group are new to the modality you'll learn plenty from it.
There is also a fun teen-specific Jeopardy game in the new bundle, focused on healthy and effective relationships (platonic or romantic). If you have access to PowerPoint you can open the games from there and use fun animations and sound effects. The category boxes even disappear after you complete a discussion prompt. However if you don't have PPT you can still use the basic version as a PDF or in Google Slides!
Super Fun Feelopoly City!
FEELOPOLY is our most searched activity and it's a classic at this point, but I felt it needed an upgrade! FEELOPOLY City takes it to the next level with game play that's more familiar within a fun setting and prompts. You can purchase feelings properties like the Angry Alley or Bashful Bus as you move around the board and answer discussion prompts about emotions and coping skills.
Like all of our therapy games, it's a less intense way to get the ball rolling with prompts while also keeping your group engaged and even entertained!
Have you or your clients ever played Cards Against Humanity or Apples to Apples? Humans Against Stress is the same idea, except it's all about matching coping skills up with problems. Like the other games, players take turns voting on the best skills. Discussion is built in as each player defends their skill, however, even if you have a group that has trouble opening up they'll still be exposed to plenty of skills along the way. Teens in particular love this therapy card game and it's a great way to build rapport with your clients and groups!
